The QuadClient – the control centre
With the QuadClient you will have the control of your home in your hands.
With it and with a smartphone or tablet you can switch in your house and do whatever
you need to from wherever you want.
But not without planning
As with any control, you cannot avoid implementing proper planning. It is the same with the QuadClient. Before you start programming, think about the menu structure, the building structure and the functions you want to use.
If you know what the programming of the QuadClient looks like, you can start programming. To do this, select the QC Config in the expert.
Here we go
It is not enough to know enough – you also have to put the knowledge into practice.
In the QC config, you first create the users who are allowed to operate the QuadClient. Each user is assigned a user group. Different user groups allow you to operate certain functions only by defined persons.
Also in the QuadClient, as in the ETS, structures are needed. You create the menu structure based on your planning. This should be kept simple according to the ”intuitive operation” motto. Use unique names and icons for each menu item.
The structure of the building follows the menu structure. Lay your building floor by floor and room by room. In the individual rooms, the functions that are present in the room are then inserted in the next step.
If you also want to allow functions for an alarm system or garden irrigation, then create a room and label it with alarm system or garden irrigation. Then insert the functions you want to use.
Last but not least
Plug-ins can be added at the end
Plug-ins are small additional programs that extend the functionality of the QuadClient.
• If you have used a weather station in your KNX system, you can display the individual values in the ”Weather display / weather station“ plug-in.
• If you do not own your own weather station, you can also display the weather for your location from the internet. To do this, insert the »Weather Forecasting« plug-in.
• If you prefer to play music, you need the ”Audioplayer“ and ”Audioarchive” plug-ins.
• You can also view camera images. To do this, use the ”Camera” and “Camera archive” plug-ins.
