Free visualisation in chalk look for the Gira HomeServer 4
The Gira HomeServer is, in my opinion, the building control system that works most reliably and can be customised most individually.
A free visualisation should not only offer great functions for a comfortable operation of the building technology, but also look beautiful and contemporary. Unfortunately, I have to say that this is not possible with the standard icons found on the Expert.
BUT – you can use your own icons – either created by you or purchased. Thus, it is possible to create a free visualisation that contains excellent functions and looks great.
But how do you come to such a free visualisation for the Gira HomeServer? Especially since each project and every visualisation have different requirements. On the internet you will surely find one or the other example of how a free visualisation page can be designed. But even if you find an example of a visualisation that meets your expectations, you will need to rebuild it yourself, including the icons, because they probably are not available for the Gira HomeServer.

• What requirements are expected of the programmer?
EHe should have a basic knowledge of the functionality of the Gira Expert. In support of this, I recommend the two books »Gira HomeServer programming made easy« and »KNX programming made easy«.
• How does the visualisation in chalk look work?
In order for the visualisation to work properly, a correctly programmed KNX system is required. The group addresses of the KNX system are imported into the Expert and assigned to the functions and icons of the visualisation.
• Which HomeServer is needed for visualisation in chalk look?
The visualisation has been created on a HomeServer 4 with the Expert version 4.8. With some small adjustments, it also runs on a HomeServer 3.
• What is included in the visualisation in chalk look?
Included is the visualisation which is opened in the Expert. In addition, all icons and background images are stored in separate folders. Last but not least, there is a detailed and richly illustrated manual in German, in which the functions and adaptations of the visualisation in the chalk book are explained on more than 120 pages.
